Bienen im Winter
Für die Bienen wäre es ideal, wenn Sie den Winter in einen Kühlraum mit gleichbleibenden Temperaturen verbringen könnten. Dann würden Sie eine Traube bilden und die Königin und sich wärmen. Dies ist aber für uns Imker nicht möglich. So können wir nur hoffen, dass die Völker mit dem Wetter und den teilweisen milden und arg wechselhaften Temperaturen zurechtkommen.
Nach ein paar Wochen Kälte hatten wir zum Jahreswechsel bestes Flugwetter bei 15 °C. Die Bienen fliegen und leeren ihre Kotblasen. Außerdem werden die bereits verstorbenen Bienen aus der Beute geräumt. Der Futterverbrauch steigt bei so vielen milden Tagen. Auch hier und da ist schon Polleneintrag zu erkennen. Das bedeutet, dass es schon Brut und eine legefähige Königin in den Völkern gibt. Wenn es nun wieder kalt wird, räumen die Bienen die Brut aus. Da diese nicht mehr versorgt werden kann.
So schön es für uns ist, zu sehen dass die Bienen fliegen und die Völker wohlauf sind, sorgen wir uns aber doch, ob es die Völker auch bis zum Frühjahr schaffen. Für ein aktives Eingreifen ist es dann aber doch zu kalt und zu windig. Darum können wir nur darauf vertrauen, dass die Bienen gut eingefüttert waren und die Varroabehandlung den gewünschten Erfolg gebracht hat.
